I just purchased some solar panels. A total of 40 250 watt panels. I was wondering how to build stands to ground mount these panels.Tilting?

I have had 5 homes in the last 20 years wither off-grid or grid tied. In those years I have owned several ground mounted tracking arrays. All had problems - both electric and gas operated. We currently have 7KW (20 x 350 watt panels) in a summer fixed array and 7KW in a winter fixed array. Rather than calculate the optimal angle for optimal production years round I opted for half and half.
This set up is easy to work on and the combiner boxes (homemade) are easy to access from a catwalk behind the panels.
Feel free to call me @ 479-774-1498 - I would be glad to share my experience and thoughts. I believe solar is the only way to go - and sharing the solar gospel is a good thing. Going big enough to generate a surplus regardless of optimal exposure angle is a safe bet.

Hard to beat 16 foot gates for about $150 each. Use some chain link fence top section to make posts on each side and use some thru bolts and perforated angle on one corner to make adjustments. Honestly I like them mounted on a roof with rail system much better. With the costs of panels being much cheaper these days most folks just buy more panels.
my green eyed monster is impressed, nice systems guys. panels are cheap, the batteries and charge controllers are spendy....
