Keep windows and shades closed during the day, open once the sun goes down to let in whatever cool night air you can coax inside... Do indoor work during the heat of the day, outside chores early morning and late evening, get a good handle on when the hottest part of the day is, its usually 3ish, not noon. If you have a basement, hang out down there, it will be cooler. Stay hydrated, a wet kerchief on your head or around your throat helps, thats all ive got, can you tell i hate heat and dont have ac? 😅
Replying to myself to add insulation is just as important for keeping heat out as keeping it in, i know alot of houses down south skimp on it, might be worth investing in heavily, also real shutters, not the stupid decorative ones that wont close
Well, we use big cattle tubs filled with cold well water. Probably not the answer you where looking for, but it does help cool you off on a hot day full of work ...
