I copied this info directly from their page...I plan on attending..meetup?
This will be our first Tech Day of 2020! Bring your electronics that you are having trouble with, or would like to know more about, and we will see if we can do something. We can't guarantee that we can fix everything, but we will see what we can do. Also we might not have the parts/tools needed. If you do, please bring them with you.
Tech Day is family friendly, and we love to see kids that are interested in Amateur Radio, and electronics in general. Small children should be supervised at all times, as some of the equipment that may be worked on could contain high voltages. These high voltages could at best caused nasty burns, and at worst could stop your heart. We want to make sure Tech Day is both safe, and fun for everyone!
We should also have a couple of people available to help program radios. Rather it's a Beofang, Yeasu, iCom, or DMR, we can see what we can do to help you out. We have programing files for many of the more popular radios, but again we might not be able to cover everything. We do have some programing cables, but if you have a cable that works with your radio, please bring it with you. That will ensure that we have a cable that works with your radio, and lessen the chance that you will have to wait to use one of ours.
There will also be lunch, and dinner at Q1 Tech Day. It would be helpful if you are able to bring one side dish, dessert, or snacks. Soft drinks are also a great option. Tea & Water will be provided, as well as the meat for lunch & dinner. If you'd like something special, bring it alone, and I'm sure either Jordan, or Jonie will be more than glad to throw it on the grill for you.
We are also combining Q1 Tech Day with our January Club Meeting! Testing will still be at the DAV (2525 E. Division St) at 3:00pm. The meeting starts at Jordan's house (3611 N Farm Road 147) at 5:00pm. Instead of a traditional program this month, we will be using this time to discuss prep for Winter Field Day. If you are interested in participating in this event, make sure to come out to the meeting on January 18th!
Tech Day runs from 11:00am to Midnight. The Meeting starts at 5:00pm, and usually goes till 7:30-8:30pm.
If you have any questions, or have trouble finding Jordan's house, you can call: (417)-520-7324. There will also be a talk in on the 146.910 W0EBE repeater.
We all look forward to seeing everyone at Tech Day, and the meeting!
