Put up lots of Chef Tess (Honeyville Farms) Meals-in-a-jar and put up many Mylar bags. Just add H2O heat and eat, So far the family has not been disappointed
Put canned stuffs in cooker, mix with seasoning, place chicken on top covered by liquid, cook 4 hours on low, take out chicken to cool to cut up, add back in for 2 hours.
Serve over Fritos, crushed tortilla chips, rice or corn bread. Add toppings... shredded cheese, sour cream, guac, black olives, Tabasco.
*** optional add 1 can mixed veggies... carrots, peas, corn.
Directions:
1.transfer cold rice to a medium bowl and break rice up with your hands into individual grains before proceeding. Place kimchi in a fine-mesh strainer set over a large bowl and squeeze out excess liquid. Reserve liquid and finely chop kimchi.
2.Heat 1/2 tablespoon oil in a wok over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add Spam and cook, tossing and stirring frequently, until well browned and starting to crisp. Add chopped kimchi and onion and cook, stirring and tossing regularly, until vegetables are softened, about 4 minutes. Transfer to a bowl and set aside.
3.Add another 1/2 tablespoon oil to wok. Increase heat to high and heat until smoking. Add half of rice and cook, stirring and tossing, until rice is pale brown, toasted, and has a slightly chewy texture, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a medium bowl. Repeat with another 1/2 tablespoon oil and remaining rice.
4.Return all rice to wok and press it up the sides, leaving a space in the middle. Add another 1/2 tablespoon oil to the space. Add scallions (reserving some for garnish), garlic, and jalapeños and cook, stirring gently, until lightly softened and fragrant, about 1 minute. Toss with rice to combine.
5. Add onion, kimchi, and Spam mixture and toss to combine. Pour in reserved kimchi juice and season generously with black pepper. Add fish sauce, sesame oil, and cilantro (reserving some cilantro for garnish). Toss everything to combine.
6. Season to taste with salt if necessary. When ready to serve, allow rice to sit in wok without tossing for 45 seconds to create a crisp crust underneath. Turn rice out onto a serving platter, trying to get as much of the crispy rice facing up as possible.
Top with fried eggs, sprinkle with reserved scallions and cilantro, and serve immediately with hot sauce.
This is a great one that uses whole grains but you don’t need a grain mill or high speed blender. Any cheap blender will work.
Blender Wheat Pancakes
1 Cup Milk (any milk or milk sub works)
1 Cup Wheat Kernels, whole & uncooked
2 Eggs (2 T. powdered eggs 1/4 C. Water)
2 tsp Baking Powder
1-1/2 tsp Salt
2 Tbs. Oil
2 Tbs. Honey or Sugar
Put milk and wheat kernels in blender. Blend on highest speed for 4 or 5 minutes or until batter is smooth. Add eggs, oil, baking powder, salt and honey or sugar to above batter. Blend on low. Pour out batter into pancakes from the actual blender jar (only one thing to wash!) onto a hot greased or Pam prepared griddle or large frying pan. Cook; flipping pancakes when bubbles pop and create holes.
***you can sub many other grains in this recipe. 1/2 wheat/1/2 oats tastes great as well as many other using combos of spelt, millet, sorghum, rice, etc.
@Pooka no. Not for this recipe. 😂😂 This is meant as a way to use whole grains easily pre-SHTF for those without a grain mill yet. Or those with a hand grinder who want an easier way.

Hope a wooden spoon will do as well, since we very likely will have no power for a blender.
