I wondered too. Googled and website says "WHAT’S THE INTENT OF AMERICAN CONTINGENCY? To provide a platform for education, a social network, and an action arm to support and defend American lives."
It's a good concept the problem is it seems to be moving rather slow. I'm giving it a chance. It's been several weeks and I don't see where he's done much. He might be a day late, and a dollar short. Were running out of time real fast.
As a concept it seems good, but you may be righ; timing may be too late. I'm all for people learning more about prepping, being ready for a contingency, etc. Our society as a whole is weak strategically, we needed this as a booster. Only time will tell.
Something to think about from a big picture as it relates to ACON; yep there is a web site and forum, in there are training (blocks of instruction) posts on different subjects, links to training class that available at different locations, intel site/news. Same thing as here =trying to connect link minded via a closed web system, and at live training events. Of note all members will most likely be separated. All are being Vetted.
- is this too late? not my call to make; just like those getting into prepping now : is it to late for them? maybe maybe not. But its all about doing something ( training is always a good thing)
Sounds like there are some good things going on with it. As with anything I would still be cautious, but could be a good way to expand your network or group of likeminded individuals. It's hard to connect with people when life and other responsibilities keeps getting in the way...
It's been a few months, are the sentiments the same with ACON? It seems to me from the outside to be very similar to what Bear/PJF are doing–sans the faith based influences. Checked out some videos on YT. Preparedness & Community. Although what your'e saying about vetting seems interesting, an extra layer of security I suppose? Filter out potential bad apples? If that's the case, it seems like they would be good people to get to know. Expand groups or create mutual alliances with... Overlapping influences, regions, and all. Whether ordained or not, still the Father seems to be at work awakening people to self-reliance. Keep the faith and looking forward to any more insight into this ACON stuff.
I chose not to be vetted as I live in NY and it's $121.00 now other states are still $20.00. I think vetting was a good idea but I really think we are to far into the game now for it to matter. AmCon is still a great concept but it's having some infighting on it's forums. It is a great place to find like minded people still. Current events are moving too rapidly and eventually the breaking point is coming. All that's keeping many of us sane is our faith.

Just created an account as a non-paying member. I'm interested in the premise, looking forward to hearing more on this.
Mark same questions; any more insight? intel?

My confirmation was in the spam folder
more shtf patriot networking, it's started by Mike Glover, Army SOF guy, also the face of FieldCraft Survival.
Seems like it would be a good source. He seems like a well informed, squared away guy.
