Attitude is an amazing tool. It can defeat you before you even set foot on the battlefield. It can push you beyond what you believed you could ever do.
A willingness to strive to be the best you can be is nothing if your attitude defeats you.
You are the best at what you do. So be an inspired person with a willingness to soldier on, and an attitude that cannot be beaten.

Well said. Attitude, Good or Bad is contagious ! When I speak to our new hires I aim to inspire them to have a Goal of Excellence not Perfection. Only God is perfect. I need Grace as much as anybody else. Work together. Strive to use the Gifts, Talents and Abilities God gave you to Bless other people. A good Leader is one who serves, leading by example. How can we add value to the Team or Mag? Looking for solutions to shore up weak areas. Strategic thinking. Good Communication. Vital for any army or team of just two.
Well said., Cheire. I use humor to break tense situations and hopefully create a more "team" friendly atmosphere at work. I have always been a "lead from the front" kind of person myself, and I see many supervisors who love to hide in their office all day long...which is in my view, counter productive to say the least.
Lead by example, but also stepping aside to have your people with skills teach the rest. In a teotwaki situation true specialists are perishable (or even irrelevant, depending upon the specialty---tax preparation specialists will probably be out of work, indefinitely.) For survival the Generalists will become the norm again, like the farmers of old. Part ag tech, part veterinarian, part mechanic, part doctor, part carpenter, part engineer and to that add, part soldier. Revolutionary war farmers from the 1770's were kind of all of these things...we can be again...
