So I know this can be a touchy subject and people can get passionate about their bags. However, I'm curious about a few things. A lot of discussions have been had over the years on "Bugout Bags","I'm Not Coming Home Bags" or what ever favorite catchy name the bag might have. The things I wonder about are the following: When any of you go on vacation do you just have a suite case all packed that you just grab out of the closet and take with you? Or do you pack your suitcase according to where you are heading and how long you plan to be there? For hanging a picture on the wall would would it be better to get a hammer and an nail or screwdriver and a flashlight? How many people actually take their bags out and use them to get from point A to point B to test out the usefulness of the items in the bag, how it is configured or find what its missing? Basically I'm wondering how functional these bags would be in actual deployment situation. How much dead weight is in them or do they even contain the items needed. My life experiences have taught me that packing and planning for the mission is more important. Comments appreciated and hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!
