I just wanted to throw this out there. Buckwheat is often overlooked, but is a great alternative to traditional cereal crops. It does better in poor soils, is far easier to harvest (by hand), grinds well, keeps longer, and as a bonus it flowers. So you will attract pollinators (bees). I only mention it since i see so many people growing cereals for food storage, wich is awesome. If you havent tried buckwheat though you may want to consider it, I personally have had a good experiance with it. At least google it first you will be surprised. Thanks, and God bless.
