Hello all, I have a biblical question, and I know for sure Bear Nation will have the answer. Is skin color referenced in the Bible anywhere?
Hello all, I have a biblical question, and I know for sure Bear Nation will have the answer. Is skin color referenced in the Bible anywhere?
As far as I know there is no specific reference to color. But It does refer to all men being of the same blood. And coming from the sons of Noah.
Update: This questions came into my mind as I watched people bowing down and attacking the WH. The only thing that came to mind was UNITY and LOVE are in the Bible and I feel this urge to write, blog and record then share!
Ethiopian jailer
Thank you, all so much! I am so compelled to write this piece about these struggles! I want to reference the greatest book in history. The only book that has survived 2000+ years. I dont have the same version of the book that Bear uses BUT I have 5 different versions here.
When I complete the post I will share with you all via an email to admin.
Bless you all!
it doesn't mention skin color per se but it does mention ethnicities all the time...
EDIT: i take that back in the song of solomon it mentions the color of the skin of the woman that wrote the song of solomon...
Son 1:5 I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon.
Son 1:6 Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept.
Awesome, thank you so much!
Phillip and the Ethiopian. No solid proof text regarding race but, well, he was from Ethiopia
Yes it does reference color in the Bible. Story of Sampson comes to mind right off the top. Ethos against ethnos in Matthew
