Simple problem. If The SHTF I need to leave. There would be no gray man scenario, no mag, no community. The objective is to get out as far as possible and its most likely going to have to happen on foot. Any advice and tips or even ideas?

Wow! Ummm, first thing I would say is make sure you have a darned good bug-out-bag. You will need maps, good ones that show the actual territory you'll be going through. Do you have a destination? If not, get one. Seriously, have a destination in mind. When and if it goes down it's going to get ugly fast. I think Bear would tell you to get away from populated places as quickly as you possibly can. In my estimation, you'd likely have a couple of days before it really gets wild. Look, ideally, you'd have a group you can run to. Try and try hard to get one now. Unless you are used to living hard and hiding, you might not make it long alone.

Unfortunately thats about 14500km away.
Look into getting to the nearest fire lookout to your location.
If you run into strangers they are ones you’d want on your team Anyways because they were smart enough to think of it and are most likely some sort of back packer, backcountry type.
1.) you have the high ground and can see people coming for miles.
2.) if there is a road that leads all the way up to it, itll be dirt and someone driving wouldn’t be able to go fast.
3.) most of the time you have to hike in to them.
4.) they were built in the 40s to be off grid specialized for long term livability. So one person could stay a whole summer and watch for fires. They adapted them to be cabins for Forrest rangers in winter, a place to stop while hiking through and I believe surveyors and animal relocation teams still use them which means they are upkept. Typically have a wood stove For heat, generally cooking utinsel’s already in it. Coffee and silverware people have left, ect..
5.) usually have a cot or small bed which beats the ground
6.) if need be you could set traps or block roads in. Well before they could see your wood fire smoke.
7.) they typically all have a working well or water tower and storage unit/bathroom area as well.
you can contact your local Forrest service and ask about locations. Not all are listed online but they rent them out in advance so they know if it’s being used when people want to hike to them. But they will let general public use them.
If time and finances a lot. I’d suggest going to the one you choose(if you like the idea) and hide caches of food and ammo in the ground prior to needed to hike it up to it
This is how I carried my Inch bag in 94 stayed 3 Summer months in Panamint mountains (Death Valley mountains)
