I am from Texas and while I love my state the massive population surge is eventually going to cause this state to flip Blue. It's hot here and we don't have much water. So my family and I are looking to relocate north. We are looking at Idaho, Montana, etc... Would anyone from up there be willing to talk about lessons learned homesteading in northern states? Growing seasons, Livestock, Predators, etc... My family is young so we would like to build a solid foundation for our homesteading lives. Any help of advice would be much appreciated.
