Due to the unreliability of the news media (propaganda and bias), I find it impossible to gauge the reasonableness of the response by the government or by our fellow citizens to this pandemic. Too much, too little, or just about right?
But one thing I do know is how easy it was for the government to isolate almost all of us from one another. I’m not happy about that at all. All it took was an order from the Governor and most of us cowered in our homes, whipped into submission with the stroke of a pen and still, a month later, just now saying, “Please Mr. Governor, Sir, can we go outside and play, pretty please? Would it be OK with you if we exercised our rights to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness?”
I think we all need to nut up and make our own choices rather than let our politicians call all the shots for us but how we do that when we have to rely on our media outlets to keep us informed eludes me. I actually rely more on the BDB for information than I do on media. Just thinking out loud and maybe venting a little.
