I am working on a project which I have put past TJ already, but I thought I would post here as well. I am going to be putting together a tiny computer system built around a RaspberryPi3 computer and a 1 Terabyte (Trillion byte) Solid State Drive. It will have integral Li-ion or Lead Acid batteries, a solar charge controller, and usual peripherals (keyboard, display and mouse.) It is my intention to build this thing to be EMP hard---totally impervious or atleast highly resistant to High Altitude Nuclear Electromagnetic Pulse. The idea is that this thing will be a rugged, self contained and self powered repository for knowledge (think Library of Congress in a 50 cal Ammo Can!) The initial ideas I have had are: the complete US military Field Manual set. A complete guide to North American Plants: Poisonous, Edible, and Medicinal. I have vague ideas to include: the complete Bible, a good set of instructional texts for teaching young children how to read; a basic set of literature.
I am just one guy so I'd like to hear and see some ideas of things to include in this project. I am looking for links to Open Source and non copyrighted materials. I am also seeking advice on other types of good or critical information that should be included.
Is this a worthy project worth pursuing? Thanks for any and all input! I appreciate you!
