I’m not sure what Bear’s recommendation is but my personal all-time favorite boot is the Salomon Quest 4D 3 GTX (yes I know it’s unreasonably long for a boot name) and they have been absolutely amazing in the 2 years I’ve owned them. They are, from what I have seen in the last 2 years, completely waterproof (up to the boots opening around your lower shin of course) and I have even heard they are highly favored in the special forces community. A little pricey as far as boots go but after 2 years of pretty much non-stop use and abuse, they have never failed me and I bet I can get another 3-4 out of them before needing another pair. I hope you find your perfect boot brother.
He likes those big massive lace up hunting boots. The snake proof type boots. I don’t know which brand.
I prefer Belleville combat boots for everyday beating around the world And I really like my slip on Justin boots for doing things around the homestead. Easy on and off in case of mud or poop covered. Lol
I believe you will have to do some serious back channeling to find it, but there is a vid where mentioned them.
