@Bear Independent individuals across this nation seem to be from all walks of life, and some of the bigger ticket items like a plot of land, years worth of food or even rafters to stack it to, on the individual side seem extremely difficult or to some down right impossible to achieve all on their own. So I'm reaching out to you, to ask if it might be feasible or even reasonable for a Tribe to establish a legal entity LLP/LLC to pool resources together for the purpose of establishing a bug out location capable of being utilized by members of the tribe.

@Patriotic Trucker i have had a very similar idea on my mind for about 3 years. . Im in.
@Patriotic Trucker I believe that NWA prepper said in one of his videos that he has done just that with his mag/tribe.
i'm currently in talks with a couple of friends to buy 160 acres for a "hunting camp". no LLC, but old friends. and we will operate guided hunts for the local species as a way to pay for it, until such time as it is necessary for other uses. looking to build 5 or 6 bunk houses, just beds, storage and a bathroom, then one communal building (quonset likely) with a kitchen, meeting/fellowship area. 360-degree visibility for seriously miles.
That is a great template, serves as a launchpad for other ideas.
At least it's not a far fetched idea.
no one asks a lot of questions when they see equipment (tractors, dozers) atv's, or guys with guns coming and going to/from a deer camp.
It would probably be good to have the land with the buildings be its own Building Corporation and the Tribe be its own LLC. The "Badger Tribe LLC" as being a separate entity rents the buildings and such from the Building Corporation. For strictly legality reasons. Just to put it simply Joey is interested in joining the tribe so we invite him over to see what it is about. Joey does something stupid and gets in an accident and sues the tribe. The tribe loses the case and in the settlement looses all of it assets. However the land and buildings are not apart of the Badger Tribe LLC. Anyway check your individual state laws as your mileage may very. But this is how it works up here in MN, Ramsey County.
@Big Squirrel thank you for the perspective! It pays to work these things out ahead of time.
This is great idea, honestly. Look at most legal ranches. Nearly all of them are set up as a LLC (Limited Liability Corporation) where the family members are Board Members. To avoid paying enormous sums of money to the government when an owner passes and passes that land to the next of kin, a LLC exists as its own entity where the interested active parties are "employees" or "Board Members." Thus as family 'passes away" new members can be "hired." I would strongly encourage anyone thinking about participating in something like this find an attorney whom you trust and set it up as an LLC.
A working model as far as preppers goes may be a flat buy in, or an initial buy in and membership fees to help offset property taxes...? Just a thought. Oh, and, count me in too!
@TyMoore their are some great advantages for sure, thank you. I belong to an organization that does this were the Organization rents from its Building corp and just like you said we have Board Members. We took out a loan and use fundraisers and a flat monthly fee, rent out the place for events and such. I just never thought about this working with a "Tribe" before, until I read this post by @Patriotic Trucker. This community here at Bear Nation is awesome. I have meet a lot of really great individuals from so many different backgrounds and perspectives on things. If we could make something like this happen, finding our own sanctuary per say, I would be interested in helping out. We have only to take the first step.
@Big Squirrel Amen, Brother. This would be awesome!
A consideration that was always hindering this in my experience is location. Not even touching on a 800' water table and no surface water sources or it's completely in the middle of someone's property and we need an easement for access.... I'm just talking like someone wants to be in ^ that direction and your partner in the venture wants to be in another direction and often a compromise makes neither one happy. Be open minded, and honest. There's places good for certain things and better places for others. Example, soil types differ from region to region in a state. Water table depths, all that stuff that can be an advantage to locating "here" rather than "there". Access to public lands like state and National Forest areas are often undeveloped beyond a few scattered camp grounds (aka target rich environment) especially after the first two weeks. Hmm may want to keep a good patrol eye on those locations? But it opens up thousands if not millions of acres of land with edibl flora and fauna.
Just an idea but here goes: Start smaller maybe 50 acres, something a little more ideal in some ways (better water access, mineral, timber rights.) If time permits, and funding especially, make offers on surrounding parcels. Stitch the thing together. May be more expensive in long run, but may infact be more ideal in long run too. With patience and luck a community with hundreds of acres of land may be put together. Worth a shot anyway. My two cents' worth.
