My wife and I recently bought property near Lake of the Ozarks. We will be moving out there in the future but would like to start "dating" in the meantime
Following back up on this. Needing to get range time in. I am comfortable around firearms but have a lot to learn. Especially when it comes to the rifle. Don't really have a place to practice. Would be great to meet up with some like minded brothers on this and other things.
Hey Tyler. We are having a meetup in Houston Missouri on August 16th, 10am at Emmett Kelly Park. Would love to have you and your family show up. Just a meet and greet.
It’s the 1st meeting so we were just alloting 2 hours for a general meet and greet. You are more than welcome. Bring friends! We need good people! August 16th 10am Emmett Kelly park in Houston Mo.
Hi! We have started a group centered in Jefferson City, we have a meet up scheduled for next Sunday, 11/1. Email me at Thorne.D20@gmail.com if you’re interested.
The Southwest group is organized by Prudence. If you think that group would work better I can put you in touch with her.
Hi all, I'm kind of new to Bear Nation. Been here about a month now.
I'm in Independence and am interested in meeting people in my area. I work nights for a warehouse co in Liberty so I mostly sleep during the day. And this covid bug is putting quite a damper on expendable funds if you know what I mean.
Anyway, if there is a way to do a meet and great on a sat afternoon let me know.
Hi folks, for those of you that are closer to the St. Louis area you should reach out to Mike at thepatriotcode@gmail.com.

It was determined that the group would be called HAPS (Homestead and Preparedness Skills).
There were 23 adults and several children in attendance ranging from Kansas City to central Illinois. One person travelled 4 and a half hours to join us. There were several from the greater St. Louis Metro area including a representative of the St. Louis MAG. The people in the St. Louis area residents were encouraged to get contact info for the St. Louis MAG representative. It was noted that it is both encouraging to see so many like minded folks from across such a wide area coming together to form a community and concerning that people feel the need to travel as far as they have for those reasons.
Introductions took approximately 45 minutes. There was a brief introduction to fire building skills. There were a lot of valuable tips and tricks from the attendees. First aid kit tips were reviewed and again there was a lot of input from the people who joined. At this point everyone was asked to say what they liked about the presentations and what could have been done better. The big take-aways were that everyone appreciated the attendance and that there is a potential communication gap when using the Bear and Viking forums if there are any updates, specifically to the location of the meeting. After this exercise there was a hands-on workshop on storing wheat in buckets. Those that did not participate in the food storage workshop took part in fellowship. There was discussion on HAM and unconventional comms.
I wanted to personally thank everyone that was able to make it to the meeting, especially those that drove from outside the state. I sincerely hope we were able to make the trip worthwhile.
