Once you enter stay on the road and keep to right at the two small forks, this will take you to the parking area at the shelter. This is our second joint Bear Nation/Viking Preparedness meeting. Communications with friends, family, and associates is critical in times of emergency or during extended crisis where common communication means may be overwhelmed, degraded, missing, or unsafe. All are welcome and attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas, knowledge and any examples they wish to share or display. We will discuss alternate communications methods for about an hour and be followed by a late lunch at 2 pm where we will discuss and practice communications techniques. Motorola and Baofeng radios will be featured. Lunch, grilled brats or chili, so please RSVP so that we know how much we will need, a small donation to cover the food cost would be welcome but is not necessary.
