Basic Fire Making and Lunch Discussion on COVID Lessons Learned
When is the last time you built a fire? Come and learn some basic fire building techniques for free. We will show you how to build a few types of fire and give you a chance build one yourself. We will also demonstrate a Rocket Stove. All are welcome and attendees are encouraged to bring their ideas, knowledge and any examples they wish to share or display. The fire building class will last about an hour and be followed by lunch where we will discuss various lessons learned since COVID. When COVID first started all predictions were extremely dire, and it provided a dry run for individual and family resilience preparedness. What did you learn, what did you do well and not so well? We will discuss. Lunch, sub sandwiches will be provided, so please RSVP so that we know how much we will need.
Also, due to COVID, and many of the existing restrictions, this meeting will be held in a public park with an overhead shelter (locations 21 and 23 on the inset map). It is open to the wind however so dress appropriately, we will conduct the meeting rain or shine.
This meeting is hosted by Paul and Kurt and is reserved under the name of Camping Club at the Richfield Historical Park & Nature Park
