The Finger Lakes Preparedness Network is going to hold our first in-person meet-up on Saturday, October 3rd at 1:00 PM in Cortland, NY. We will be in a primitive camping area (so people can socially distance as they wish) at the Lime Hollow Nature Center (directions to follow).
The groups’ aim is to help people become better prepared for possible tough times ahead, to help connect preparedness- minded individuals regionally, and to host informative sessions, sharing basic preparedness skills and promoting better self-sufficiency. The first session will be on making mushroom ravioli from scratch, growing shiitake mushrooms, making the pasta, storing the ravioli.
This will be a meet and greet to get new people acquainted, everyone will be encouraged to cite a book they find useful or would want in a major event or else describe one influence that has led to their feeling better prepared.
