Having been down this road a few times I figured this time I would collect all the bad I learned in previous editions and build a coop to outlast me. All of the lumber was culled at the local yard ...bought for about 25 cents on the dollar. We are running 21 chickens who seem to really love their place.
Next, remote temp monitoring, wifi camera, 160 watt vertical turbine attached to battery system. Gutter based rain water catchment system plumbed to nozzle system and finally an auger motor run by an open output channel on the PLC.
