We found over the years the easiest way to get the babies and the roosters together without losing any of the little ones is to put them out in a container when they’re young and let the roosters come over and start visiting with them. After a while we will put them in a coop and feed them inside the coop and also put some food right on the other side of the wire for the roosters and the chickens to feed so they’re all eating right next to each other without all the pecking order drama. These are a special breed of chickens that we’ve crossbred over the years between Rhode Island Reds and Era c. Aracondas.
This is one of our little roosters and those are some eggs I picked up from the coop this morning. I keep a dozen eggs on the kitchen counter at any time. The rest go in the refrigerator if anything happens to the coop outside, I could start my flock again, which I have had to do in the past when a pack of coyotes killed all my chickens one night, so I could start my flock over again with my incubators and a dozen chickens. eggs.
Beautiful Roosters! What a nice way on introducing them💓. We always just throw them together, after they start smelling up the home "May the odds be in your favor " 🤔😂😳.

Awesome, thanks for the tips! My wife and I have been wanting to start raising chickens, hopefully soon.
If you happen to be in the Southern California area, I would be more than happy to loan you one of our incubators and a dozen eggs to get started.
Looking great! I appreciate it but we’re in south Texas. Sorry to hear about the past chickens...
