I have a few recipes I use that I love. Simple, cheap and work better than anything I can buy. Sometimes these very necessary things can be overlooked and shouldn't be in a SHTF situation.
Mix all together and add to a spray bottle. I usually make this up in double and triple batches and store it in my empty gallon vinegar jugs. This is the best cleaner I have found to clean windows and walls of wood smoke, first time. I use this in my kitchen and bathroom on all hard surfaces.
1 regular size bar of ivory or castile soap, grated into 2 qts. of water
Put into a pan and heat, stirring constantly until soap completely dissolves
In a 5 gal bucket, add 4 1/2 gallons of hot water. Stir in 2 c of borax [20 mule team kind] and 2 c washing soda until dissolved completely. Add in liquified soap, stir well, cover and leave overnight. The next day, or after 12 hours, stir again until completely smooth, then transfer to the containers of your choice. 1/2 - 1c per load. This will even remove grease and bar chain oil stains if you pretreat with it, then wash as usual.
I use a joint compound mixer in a drill for the best final mixing, but have also just used a yardstick.
You can use any kind of hair conditioner you like. My favorite is Suave Rosemary and Mint. Cheap and the subtle scent is release when you are working [sweating] and helps keep the bugs off you.
If you have an ag chemical/ fertilizer store or Co-OP they (at least the ones in my area and I work for) you can get 50# bags of baking soda. I haven't done a price comparison to see if it's really cheaper but I would imagine it is. Just an FYI that people may not know about.
Thought id share my all purpose cleaner, i take orange peels from my kids, fill a jar and pour white vinnegar over it till its submerged, then i let it sit for a couple weeks under my sink and dilute it in a spray bottle with water, gentle enough to use on everything, gets the job done and the house smells like citrus instead of vinnegar, i also use it to scour with baking soda
