Does it work? Just mixed it together, and hope it works. I did use tea tree oil, tho at least it keeps lice away 😂.
It worked fine for me. Tea tree oil is fine. It may depend on the type of critters in your area though. Different oils may work better for you. Tweaking may be required. Shalom. 🇺🇸
I just mixed up some tobacco tea and will use that on all but my nightshade plants, ie; tomatoes, potatoes, peppers...This is an old, old method of pest control that works and is safe.
and so forth...there are a lot of directions out there and a lot of opinions as well. Your garden, your choice. For me, I will use it as I know this has been used for generations with no ill affects. Just do not use it on your tomatoes! If you do, you risk transferring diseases if the tobacco leaves were infected. They are all the same family and susceptible to the same diseases.
@Haunted55 YOU are funny! The most simple ideas i cant wrap my head around yet here you come along and tell me just to use what we grow anyways. Duuuuh, thats why we grow tobacco😮🤔. Lets see if it works against flies... how do you make your tobacco tea?
My grandfather used to just throw a bunch of cigarette butts into a gallon glass jar and let them soak. I just grabbed a hand full of loose tobacco and put it into a glass jug and filled it with water. No big deal either way. The darker it is, the more you'll want to dilute it before spraying. I am not doing it the same way those two articles suggested, but that's just me. I know the color it should be, a golden color, so can gauge how I need it.
Flies in the garden, house or animals? Mint works great against flies and fleas.
