Hello, my name is Ben. I live in the Madison county area in Georgia. Myself and my dad are knowledgeable gardeners looking to form a local group to share seeds/transplants and even fruits from what we harvest. Food shortages are creeping into our nation and inflation on good quality vegetables and fruit is sure to follow. If you are already an experienced gardener wanting to share crop or even a new gardener looking for some tips or maybe some seeds feel free to private message me on this forum, reply to this thread, or email me at benjammin1458@hotmail.com

New gardener looking for tips and seeds! We need to do a NEGA meet up, get to know everyone! I'm in the KY group too and that seems to be where they're at also. I've got fam there too so I may be here or there! But I live here in NEGA, Hartwell! Fixing to try to start some seedlings for my cousin in KY and myself. I heard the squash came in scanty so I'm going to give that a try! Its still May! Thx for any help! God bless!
If i can get enough people around the NEGA area interested in this gardening group we can plan a meet and greet and seed/plant/harvest swap. Are you going to be planting summer or winter squash? I am growing both right now.
Summer - Early Straight and Crook neck (heirloom), Golden Egg (Hybrid)
Winter - Hopi Pale Grey (rare native american heirloom), Waltham Butternut (heirloom) Spaghetti Squash and White Acorn (both heirloom)
Winter squash are great to grow for storage, they will keep for 6-9 months, I think the rule of thumb is the larger the squash the longer it will store.
Yellow Summer Squash, I going to pretend to know what I'm doing and teaching the grands how to get the seeds started. I've got cardboard egg cartons and garden soil. My aunt is good at gardening, she told me that would work. Any tips is most appreciated! I definitely want seeds! If anyone needs blocks we get them at a great price! We may have some old saw mill wood left I will have to check. I'm expecting an EMP strike from China or anything these days so time is ticking away! Lets get together! Press on brothers & sisters and stand strong!!!
Well the squash seeds came up great! Fixing to transplant them. I'm still interested in seeds or fruits. I've had yellow, butternut & spagetti squash, I don't think I've ever had any winter squash. You can email me at sandiefields@gmail.com I was only offering what we had extra of in case someone was building a cooking pit or small temporary shelter. But I'm pretty sure he's given most of the wood away now. I'm not sure about any extra blocks but he gets them all the time. Thx for your help!
