We all come across ideas that could be real game changers for ourselves and others. I did a quick run through of the Forum and couldn't find a place to add them, so I am starting this, with the hope it will do someone some good. I'm sure this could be a great place for everyone to check, now and then, for new and different ideas we all come across daily.

This looked really interesting. For those who have water on property this might be a great way to move it. Imagine an old hot water tank instead of a plastic bucket. Even without the lens, I'm pretty sure you could make an enclosure for the tank just like a solar powered hot water system and achieve the same results, maybe even better because of volume.

This looks very, very interesting. Especially for those challenged by lack of space for big gardens, or just want a smaller area for a kitchen garden. The water supply would need to be reworked to something for total off grid, but I think still it is probably doable....Hmmmm. I think I have everything but the 45s and the sprayer ends.....
@Haunted55 love my ram pump, pumps 100gallons a day from a1/4 mile away and 100 feet up to storage tank, however, volume does matter. My pump uses 3 gallons per minute (or 259200 gallons per day) so I need a 3\4 intake hose. Now this may sound strange with only a pump rate of only 4 gallons per HOUR The bigger out put hose the better: my out put 3/4 pipe has a 60% better out put than 1/2 inch. The slightest amount of air in input line will shut the whole thing down.
@Low tech is best tech Ram pump are wonderful I have a fiend with one I do not know the spec on his but he get a lot of water out of his stream. I have watched many videos on making them I have no close running water on my property. Now they are low tech and have been around a long time not new technology.
This looks like it would take a bit of time to build but for warm water and if you have the time. I think it may be nice to have around. Rocket Water heater.

After reading through this, I thought how many might be able to get some useful info from this article. I don't know this person, but I do like her mindset and actions. What she relates here is truth and anyone trying for the first time could get better results if you follow her advice.
Great site, thanks for that, good to see some squirrel recipes, got plenty of those
I'd like mine just a bit beefier, but still a great idea and project.

Some might want to really think about what fruit they are able to grow in their area and plant as many as they can NOW. We have only 2 fruit trees right now but have just put 4 piglets on a patch of ground intended for about 6 more trees in the fall. We probably won't see anything from our current trees for another year but we got them at an end of spring sale last year for a song. We intend to do that again this year. We also found a very old but alive apple tree on the edge of the pasture we are clearing that I will be pruning up. No idea what it is but it will at least be a natural deer bait and cross pollinator for my other apple trees. Properly cared for, an orchard will provide fruit for decades! Asparagus is another to be getting in ASAP to get established. We won't bother with raspberries, blackberries or elderberries because we have large wild patches close by, nature does a better job than I do!
@FoodForThoughts So true! I have made some decent applesauce and jelly from wild apples! Once our pasture area is cleared and stumped I am going to plant a row of fruit trees down the middle for "functional shade"!

Love it! I am really into the ideas of the ram pump systems. So many ways to use it.
