Making a spinning mouse trap for my tack room. I just put peanut butter on a spinning bottle with a wire with some water in the bottom of it to see if we can’t get rid of some of those little vermin out there.
One two week bow hunting trip for elk in western WA we caught over 100 deer mice in one camp with this trap design. I use it yearly in my out buildings. I place a long firing strip against the bucket so one end is on the ground and the other just over the bottle so they are inclined to drop onto it.
If you have a chipmunk problem the trap is even easier. Float birdseed on top of the water. Have a ramp going to top of bucket. Those devils are greedy... splash.
