Hey everyone!
I have been working on our medical kit the last few day and have had great luck finding things I never thought I would be able to as a civilian. I was able to order I.V. fluids and the equiptment to administer it (do reaserch on how to start a line because there is a lot involved). I was able to get suturing supplies as well. Other things I have ordered are some basic and inexpensive birth supplies because I have someone close to me expecting but, I think every well rounded kit should have a basic birth kit in it! I have had 2 home births, studied midwifery and apprenticed with my own midwife for about 6 months so I can help anyone who would like to put together their own emergency birth kit.

I've had luck over the years getting sutures off Amazon. I get a big box for a decent price (and not expired). Hopefully my pregnancy days are over but I do have some basic home birth supplies and a copy of Elizabeth Davis' Heart and Hands midwifery book just in case.
I have that book as well! Honestly having them on hand is a good idea just in case someone in your community needs them. I am all done having babies but my brother and his wife are just getting started. You never know!
Thanks for the links! Question for you. How long can you store IV Fluid before it "goes bad"
