Hi Bear Community. I am 67 years old have multiple sclerosis. I only started prepping about a year ago. I have to go slowly because I am on a limited income.
I will be moving sometime in the near future from an old trailer to a cabin with a wood stove and have unlimited water supply. Food preps are going great, but still adding to it. I had my first garden in 20 years and it did pretty good. Different soil from previous garden. Am composting and will be adding more to my current garden and will be having a neighbor rototill up more for next year. My new cabin is only 2 doors down and can continue to garden on current property. I am also on a lake and know how to fish. Could be a good opportunity to hunt, but not sure how I would drag a deer out by myself, not to mention hanging it. I know the Father will provide. He has been so good to me!
Great to talk to all in Bear Country.
Hi I am also from Mid-Michigan.
I'm based near Williamston. Prepping for a long time but without a team.
Nice to meet you Digger. I live in Haslet. I am always happy to get to know others in my area. And depending on what your interests are, I am the Ingham county lead for Michigan Home Guard. We do a ton of trainings all over the state on different subjects, but right now we have a heavy tactical/defensive skills focus. I actually teach a hand to hand class every Wednesday evening down in Mason. There is never a cost for MHG training. So you are welcome to come check out the martial arts class or anything else.
@Perry Thompson There is a get-together Sunday 9/20 in Haslett. Will you be there? For info, contact Forberede at gmail dot com (Nelson). I expect to attend.
I have emailed him and am on the mailing list for future meetings. Unfortunately I have a leadership meeting for MHG at exactly the same time as this one. Otherwise I could walk to it.
I'm currently out of town but will be returning soon. Perhaps meet for coffee or lunch?
