It seems that the Torah is held to a higher level of importance then the rest of the OT. Is this a legitimate way to look at it? If so why is it held to a higher level of importance?
The Torah is the will and law of Yah, the Father. Without the reading and understanding of these laws, how can you hope to understand the rest of the Bible? Absolutely everything in the Bible, after the Torah, is how we, as the Father's children, are supposed to do His things.
Yep Haunted pretty much covered it. The Torah is Gods law given by Moses. Every single thing that comes after that are examples and testimonies of how and how not to follow Yah’s perfect law.
Appreciate it. Watched today some of bears videos and VikingPreparedness videos Why Christians Should keep the Torah. Makes sense to me and I will work towards keeping gods laws. I will need to re-read the Torah haven't read them for a decade. Finished reading Leviticus 11 and it makes me have a serious craving for bacon.
@Kerberos lol. Yeah bacon was a big thing for me as well. Still, it is so darned little to give up to his will. I started reading along with Bear from Genesis 1, even though I had read The Word before. The amount of insight I have gained from doing that is beyond understanding. I am so darned glad you asked the initial question and welcome to the party.

i'm not a TO observer but to understand the NT and the gospels it would be helpful to understand the OT and the law...everything is inter-connected...
