Oh this is great! I am unable to do the woman's group on zoom. It just refuses to work for me so it would be nice to be able to get input on the up coming festivities.
Thanks for that Renee, but don't have a cell phone. Use a desk top and I can usually get there, but not allowed to stay there. Constantly freezes or boots me off. Hopefully the number will help someone else, because I think it's all a great thing you guys are doing!
That was a very informative discussion last night. Thx so much for making it available. Sorry I poop out early; we usually hit the sack about 9pm. But I think I caught most of it.
Is there a recording of the Women’s Group zoom meeting? I would love to hear what you all talk about. I get up for work at 3am so 9pm is a little late for me to stay up. I work in a hospital and could really do some harm if I show up half asleep.
Do we need to be careful to join right at 7pm? Or did something go wrong Wednesday night. I tried to join a little late and couldnt get in. It kept saying, “Waiting for host.“
Perhaps in here you could post a post (did I just double park a double negative?) about what you discussed last week? Mrs Badger was upset that lousy data kept throwing her out and she was very interested in the material covered.
We did an overview of the Fall Feasts last week. This week we are going to go into detail on Rosh Hashanah/Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets & Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement. Then the week after we will do Sukkot in detail.... all of this on a biblical and practical level.
I listen to KLOVE - contemporary Christian music. I have been doing this for years as I have only recently started to follow the Torah. I know there are Christian Hymns and songs that are not relevant as they talk about the rapture which is not in the Bible, but I think as long as you are focusing on worshiping Yah/God then it should be OK.
I have a question regarding "that time of the month" and what it says in Leviticus 12 about being unclean for a set amount of days, etc. I know we don't have a Temple for offerings so I was just wondering how women who have been Torah observant for a while handle this? What does the "unclean" thing mean in modern day life for us? I just observed my second Saturday Sabbath so I am very new to Torah observance. Thanks for your help.
I'll be following this thread. Learning new information here for sure. I hope you find women in PA I could connect with. Blessings to all on this independence day🙏
Carmen I am in PA and would like to connect, we are new to torah and try to do our best to learn and understand but would be awesome to have someone closer to chat with.
@nickolia I'd love to do the same, i don't know many like minded female preppers and believers in Jesus. Send me a direct message and we could exchange
I've been ..wondering a lot lately. I just watched Viking Preparedness video about why Christians should follow Torah. Very interesting and thought provoking. I've a few questions and wondered if anyone could explain further.
Follow the Torah/Don't sin/Don't be lawless.
While Torah is the Old Testament what is the 10 Commandments and if Christ said to follow the Commandments and keep them holy but if Torah is the commandments and the additional rules and regulations?....
I understand as a Christian that Christ made the New Testament and that the Old Testament is the old law. Christ made new rules for how we are saved and that we need to follow the 10 Commandments (no problem with reusing "old" laws as they were the reader's digest condensed version so to speak and to be baptized. I always understood that as a Christ follower the rules of Judaism did not apply as I was grafted into the tree and not of the original fruit. I understood I wasn't as special/one of God's chosen as I am a Gentile.
Pastor Jo was saying nope...you still need to follow Torah and that Torah is the law/preventer of sin as it keeps you from sinning. My question is is Torah the daily rules of life for the Jews? I thought it was...everything such as how to wear one's hair in public to how to address a funeral to buying land to having a child and the 10 commandments are a ...part of it. Like this is my family tree but this is my youngest child....a part of the whole but not the whole thing.
I am very confused and would love clarification. I follow the 10 commandments as a Christian. I do my best to not sin. I avoid areas where I could be tempted. I am trying to raise my children as strong believers and doing of good works and I most especially want us to be known to Christ and God.
Thank you for the time and education as I study to figure this out.
Pastor Joe has another channel called, Shofar Mountain, that is dedicated to all of these things. It is a much better place to get your answers. Shalom and Blessings
When studying the The Scriptures what other books do you use as references? I use The Scriptures, New King James Bible and a Marian Webster Dictionary.
I am interested in what you have to say.

There is a way to just call in on your phone. That should work for everyone. Let me grab the number.

Id like to join you, just need the particulars...must have missed that.

No sorry. We don’t record. We want everyone to be able to freely talk and fellowship.
Still need information to join your group...
Womens group information is posted on the Bear Independent Patreon page every Wednesday.

It has a waiting room until we log in and let everyone in. It starts at 8pm CST.

Can anyone recommend suitable music for Sabbaths? Or do y’all just listen to ordinary Christian music?

The only thing we do is not have sex for 7 days after my first day of bleeding. We still touch, hug, etc. but just not in a sexual manner.
Thank you Renee. I was getting confused reading everything.
This is awesome to have this! Thanks Renee for putting this up. 💗

Apologies for bugging out unannounced last night. Weirdly, our internet pooped out.
When studying the The Scriptures what other books do you use as references? I use The Scriptures, New King James Bible and a Marian Webster Dictionary.
e-Sword (PC) mysword (android), blue letter bible concordance (internet)
Is this still going on?
Yes it is. Most Wednesday nights. Watch patreon for the link to be
